The Flomaton Chapter of Lions Club International meets twice a month(the second and fourth Tuesday) at the Panhandle Restaurant in Century at 6:30 P.M.. They are involved in a number of community help programs including purchasing glasses for the needy and sponsoring the local boy scout troop, Troop 31. They also sponsor local diabetic children by helping to send them to Camp Seale Harris in Jackson Gapp, Alabama where they can learn to better care for themselves. The Flomaton Lions Club is also in its 13th year of publishing the Flomaton Community Calendar (available from any Flomaton Lions Club member). You can help sponsor the Lions Club by purchasing brooms and mops (available at City Hall, Johnnie's Cleaners, Larry White Insurance Agency, White's Tires, and Vic-Tone Cleaners) and mints (available at various locations in Flomaton). For more information on the Lions club , attend one of our meetings, or feel free to contact Mr. Virgil Armstrong at 296-2284.
